The Ecoegg Laundry Detergent Egg is a replacement for laundry detergent, giving you a greener laundry solution. It cleans clothes effectively using two types of pellets โ white washing pellets and the black tourmaline pellets โ encased in a recyclable, refillable laundry egg case.
The white pellets do the cleaning and the black pellets increase the efficiency of the white pellets by reducing the water surface tension, drawing out the dirt. The egg itself helps to remove dirt and soften your laundry items.ย Want the Einstein level of explanation?ย Click here.ย

The detergent pellets are designed with a gentle on skin formula, containingโฏno chlorine bleaches, phosphates, parabens, SLS/SLES or palm oilโฏand leave significantly less detergent itchy residue on your clothes versus traditional detergents and fabric softeners.โฏโฏย
Our vegan founder, Dawn, personally battled with eczema whilst growing up. Her own struggles made her realise the sensitivity of skin to normal detergents which inspired her to invent a new type of detergent that is much gentler on skin.ย ย
Our formula is lightly fragranced to be gentle on delicate skin AND has been dermatologically tested and rated โexcellentโ by Dermatest for sensitive skin.ย We encourage the use of our Fragrance Free Laundry Egg for babies and those with particularly sensitive skin as this egg is entirely removed from any perfume and has held the Allergy UK endorsement since 2011.ย

Detox your machine prior to use
If youโre using anย Ecoegg Laundry Detergent Egg for the first time, be sure to kickstart your eco journey with an Ecoegg Detox Tablet. Give your washing machine that deserved TLC to provide you with the best wash results possible โ the detox tablets rids of bad odours and removes limescale from previously used liquid or powder detergent and fabric conditioner so our little eggs can work their magic this laundry day โจ
Unwrap one Detox Tablet and place it in the drum of your EMPTY machine and then run your hottest and longest wash cycle, preferably at 90 degrees.ย Do not put clothing in during the detox cycle.
We recommend detoxing your machine every month. This ensures your washing machine pipes stay clean and it operates more effectively. The box contains enough to keep your machine clean for 2 months.
