At the end of your Laundry Eggs life (70 washes with the Laundry Egg or 50 washes with the Starter Kit), the pellets inside your egg will begin to disintegrate. They will have reduced significantly in size and become heavily pitted.

Do not fear – this is your sign you need to buy your refill pellets which are ready and waiting for you to refill and not landfill with unnecessary plastic detergent bottles. FUN FACT! – If you switch from liquid detergent and fabric conditioner to a Laundry Egg you will save up to 40* bottles of plastic each year. (*Based on 7 washes a week and 18 wash bottles.)

The mineral pellets contain a gentle on skin formula, containing no chlorine bleaches, phosphates, parabens, SLS/SLES or palm oil. The detergent also leaves significantly less residue on your clothes versus traditional detergents and fabric softeners.

We’ve gone through an exciting redesign, and as we step into a new era, you’ll see fresh packaging in your orders.  Change is a good thing. But change takes time. Especially when you make change responsibly.

Because we don’t believe in wasting perfectly good packaging — that would go against our sustainability pledge — you might get a mix of old and new designs inside your orders.  Rest assured, it’s still the same consistently high-quality product, just as you’d expect. If you happen to receive classic packaging, know that your order is helping to reduce waste. And if you receive anything with a fresh look, you’re one of the first, and we’d love to hear what you think.
