How do the ecoegg Dryer Balls work? 

The Dryer Balls help to separate your laundry so that more air can circulate, drying each item more quickly. The nodules on the eggs are designed to help soften your clothes naturally so there is no need to use fabric softener.

We only use what’s needed for a great eco-friendly clean. We're specially developed so that residue doesn't linger on your fabrics.

• Perfume – Adds a light, pleasant fragrance. Contains specially developed low allergen and low irritant fragrance. Our Fragrance Free version contains no perfume at all.
• Ethyl Linalool – A vegan ingredient added at a very small percentage to the perfume of our Spring Blossom Scent Boosters only, to enhance the overall fragrance experience. Not present in our Fresh Linen or Fragrance Free version.

We’re designed to be gentle on sensitive skin

Our Dryer Balls are made with a simple, minimal ingredient fragrance stick, containing no chlorine bleaches, phosphates, parabens, SLS/SLES or palm oil. So they help reduce the risk of irritation and leave far less residue on your clothes than traditional fabric softeners or dryer sheets.

Our founder, Dawn, personally battled eczema while growing up. Her own struggles made her realise how sensitive skin can be to conventional laundry products, inspiring her to create gentle, skin-friendly alternatives for every stage of laundry care — including the tumble dryer.

The fragrance in our Dryer Balls is light and subtle, designed to be kind to delicate skin, and the formulation has been dermatologically tested and rated “excellent” by Dermatest for sensitive skin.

For babies, those with particularly sensitive skin, or anyone who prefers their laundry completely scent-free, we recommend our Fragrance Free Dryer Balls which contain no perfume at all and are endorsed by Allergy UK.
